VI Code & Laws
The laws in the U.S. Virgin Islands Code are passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands, which was created by the Revised Organic Act of the Virgin Islands in 1954. The Legislature of the Virgin Islands contains 15 members, who serve two-year terms and are not subject to any term limits.
Proposed Rules & Regulations
These Proposed Rules and Regulations for the Virgin Islands Cannabis Use Act of 2023 are now open for review and comment. The Proposed Rules and Regulations are subject to additional addition, amendment, and revision.
Cannabis Advisory Board
Pursuant to Act 8680, §777b, “the Office of Cannabis Regulations is governed by an eleven-member Board known as the Virgin Islands Cannabis Advisory Board, appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Legislature.”
