(U.S. Virgin Islands) – The Virgin Islands Office of the Governor announces that the Cannabis Educational Grant through Oaksterdam University is now open. This special program is for USVI residents to enroll in Oaksterdam Cannabis Business Programs at a deep discount, supplemented by the funds allocated in Act 8679. Orientation and the first classes begin on Sept. 25th. Live classes meet through mid-November.
- Business of Cannabis Live (Fast‑Track) meets virtually for live lectures twice a week for nine weeks on Mondays and Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. EST.
- Horticulture Live (Fast Track) meets virtually for live lectures twice a week for nine weeks on Mondays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. EST.
- Self-Paced Programs (Manufacturing & Extraction, Budtending, Horticulture, Business)
Oaksterdam University programs are ideal for legacy operators who must ensure regulatory compliance and industry best practices – vital if you are coming into compliance or planning to enter the legal cannabis industry. This is exclusively for full-time residents of the US Virgin Islands. Please have your photo ID ready (Driver’s License, Voter ID, Senior Citizens’ ID, Veterans ID, non-driving ID, or Utility Bill), for address verification with Student Services. You also must use the same email address registered for the webinar to enroll in classes or be verified as a resident.
